It is common to ask questions while learning something new.  However, most of the time when learning Wing Chun (or many traditional martial arts), the Master will not answer our question.  Or somehow I find the answer is not quite logical...

If you have the same feeling as mentioned above, and somehow you don't feel right.  May be we should find out together what the problem is as soon as possible, before it is too late...

When is considered too late?  Wing Chun martial arts is a training to re-program your muscle memory.  If you learn something that's not right and you continuous practice it.  Eventually, your body will get used to that set of movements.  However, if you find out later what you have been doing were wrong...  Then it is extremely difficult to re-program that set of muscle memory (or in other word very hard to change that habit).

For example, let's assume a new student who have never learned any martial art to learn Wing Chun will take 3 years to complete.  However, a student who learned other lineage of Wing Chun and find out something wrong with what he/she learns has issue and switch over to our system.  It will take at least 5 years for them to re-program the muscle memory or may be even never able to fix at all (the longer you participate in the wrong form, the harder you can get out of it in the future).

That's why I urge you to review what you are learning.
